The Potholes part 1 - the fun
Last weekend I went with a group of local students to discover one (of the few) gems of the Indiana landscape - The Potholes in Fall Creek Nature Reserve.
The bunch arriving at the creek - there is not a lot water, but enough to be fun...
The creek initially looks positively harmless.
However once, you enter the potholes it can be quite tricky at times.
The current is suprisingly strong in some spots and there are always some surprises like big rocks submerged in the waterholes.
The reward was a nice little waterfall at the top of the gorge which offered ample opportunity for being childish ;-))
The result of trying to clean up a couple of hundred meters of a stream in an American Nature Reserve.
