Visit from Thailand, short trip, food, food and food

The following is a collection of photos from the time when Am's parents came to visit.

Llew's legendary rabbit:

The master chef with his victim. For more detailed information on possible origin and names of the rabbit, see Tom's blog (http://tomrufford.blogspot.com/)

This is the end result Rabbit Welli(ngton):

with fresh peas and broad beans. Yummie!!!

Now as a comparison the full scale Thai dinner (thanks to Am's mom):

The victims (in this case they are considerably more lucky...):

As a compensation for all the hard work (just look at the ammount of food on that table....) we took our guests to one of our favorite spots in the Glasshouse Mountains: Mount Nungun (It is still unclear how this is actually pronounced).

The track steeply ascends past Nungun cave.

The summit offers stunning views of the other Glasshouse Mountains. In the background Mt . Beerwah (556 m) and narrow peak of Mt. Coonowrin (375 m):

The walk is very beautiful in the afternoon sun (in the background the clear view on Moreton Bay).

More photo oppotunities on the ridge that leads to the peak.

Resting on the summit:

There are some places where the volcanic origins of those great peaks are fairly obvious:

(This was not actually the way we came up...)
